WISE Network at the House of Commons on Anglesey Day
Rebecca Colley-Jones and Einir Young were there.
Rebecca-Colley Jones, WISE Network Co-ordinator and Dr Einir Young, WISE Network Director in Bangor travelled to London to be part of the annual Anglesey Day celebrations which are organised by Albert Owen MP, by invitation of our partner company Hiraeth, who is based in Holyhead.
This was a marvellous opportunity for WISE Network to share with a wider audience how we are delivering a more enterprising Wales, where universities and business benefit the local economy by co- innovating to solve global sustainability challenges. It was a pleasure to chat with a diverse range of people – from local companies such as Dylan’s of Menai Bridge, Horizon and Hitachi, which are very active on Ynys Môn at the present time, to diplomats from Japan, and politicians including the Welsh Secretary David Jones and Arfon’s MP Hywel Williams.
“We have greatly benefited from our engagement with the WISE Network programme and look forward to making further progress in both reducing the impact of our operations and extending our offer to those who are hard-to-reach.”
